Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute the agreement between persons ("User") using the kalkaninfo.com website and its mobile-compatible platform ("Platform") and Kalkan Info ("We", "Service Provider"). By using the Platform, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms.

1. Scope of Service

Kalkan Info is an independent information platform offering local information, a service directory, user reviews, and holiday planning tools for Kalkan, Kaş, Patara and the surrounding area. The platform is not a commercial advisory or booking intermediary service; content is provided for informational purposes.

• User reviews and ratings
• Weather, map and emergency information
• Holiday planning assistant (from Phase 6)
• Regional news and announcements

2. Membership and Account

• You must be 18 years of age or older to become a member of the platform.
• You are obliged to provide accurate and up-to-date information at registration.
• You are responsible for the security of your account; do not share your password with anyone.
• If you detect unauthorised access to your account, notify info@kalkaninfo.com immediately.
• A person may only create one account.

3. User Content

You may share content such as comments, photos or business information through the platform. The following rules apply to such content:

3.1 Permitted Content

• Honest reviews and ratings based on your personal experience
• Original photographs of Kalkan and the surrounding area (copyright must belong to you)
• Accurate and up-to-date information belonging to your business

3.2 Prohibited Content

• Statements containing insult, defamation, hate speech or threats
• Content that discloses personal data (phone number, address, etc.)
• Fake, misleading or commercially motivated spam reviews
• Materials constituting copyright infringement
• Promotion of illegal products or services
• Political propaganda or election campaign content

3.3 Content Licence

The ownership of content you upload to the Platform remains with you. However, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, usable and displayable licence for the purpose of operating the service. When you delete your account, your content is removed or anonymised.

4. Business Profiles

• You may only add businesses of which you are the actual owner or authorised representative.
• Keeping business information accurate and up-to-date is the responsibility of the business owner.
• Misleading or fake business profiles are removed immediately and the account may be suspended.
• Profiles to be added are subject to administrator approval.

5. Intellectual Property

The platform design, logo, software code, editorial content and brand elements belong to Kalkan Info. User content belongs to the respective users (Article 3.3). Copying, distributing or creating derivative works of platform content for commercial purposes is prohibited.

6. Limitation of Liability

• Kalkan Info does not provide guarantees regarding the service quality, prices or reliability of third-party businesses.
• User reviews reflect the personal opinions of the reviewer; they do not represent the official views of Kalkan Info.
• The platform is provided "as is"; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
• Kalkan Info's liability for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Turkish law.
• Weather, road conditions, on-duty pharmacy or emergency information are for reference only; please verify from official sources.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

In the event of a breach of the Terms, illegal activity or an attempt to harm the platform, Kalkan Info may suspend or permanently close the account without prior notice. To delete your account yourself, use the Profile → Settings section.

8. Links and Third-Party Sites

The platform may contain links to third-party websites. Kalkan Info is not responsible for the content and privacy practices of those sites.

9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Turkish law. In the event of a dispute, conciliation is attempted first. If no agreement is reached, the Antalya Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction.

10. Amendments

These Terms may be updated. Significant changes will be announced on the platform and by e-mail to registered users. Continuing to use the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
